You Know How It Goes

An ode to remembering the victories of the moment. There may be more growth, higher goals, more opportunities to come, but there's magic in this moment. There's growth already evident, battles you've already won, and mountains you've climbed. Maybe it's not always what you expected, but you're here and you're still growing.

That's what I kept being reminded of while revisiting this painting from 2023. "Completed" in spring of 2023, I returned to rework this piece again in the early summer of 2024. She's been complete twice now, and renamed as a result, because, well, you know how it goes.
