The view of the Olympic Mountains and foothills as seen on a moody day from Ediz Hook, in Port Angeles.
These peaks always reminded me of Tolkien's Misty Mountains when I looked at them from across the Puget Sound, shrouded and evanescing through rolling clouds. I still find myself humming bits of song from the Hobbit soundtrack when I gaze at them now.
