Klickitat, an Indigenous name for Mt. Adams, rises behind the treeline bordering Takhlakh Lake. The fore features local sedge grasses that grow along the lake's edge, embellished with a variety of flora native to the area - spreading phlox, sickletop lousewort, magenta paintbrush, fan-leaf cinquefoil, alpine saxifrage, alpine pussytoes, subalpine daisy, green false hellebore, and lupine.
